The Beginning

Maria Ines Castellanos started cooking at age five, helping her mother prepare traditional Mexican Cuisine and pastries for her family and friends. Growing up in the kitchen always curious of new recipes and trying different traditional styles of Mexican cooking.


Many years later, she moved to Paris where she lived and traveled opening her world to new flavors and styles of cooking from French to Italian to Mediterranean cuisine that would one day inspire her cuisine.

After moving to Phoenix with her former husband and kids. Mi catering was conceived. Starting small and hosting parties for friends and family it soon grew to what it is today. Catering to every customers needs. From high end fine dinning events, weddings, private events, farmers markets, pop ups and other catering needs.

A along with her two kids Mi Salsa was born. Which focuses on creating the best and most authentic traditional Mexican Salsas and Traditional Mexican Street Food. Focusing on locally sourced products and becoming part of the Phoenix downtown farmers market community.
